The Photos with Santa event at Pet Supermarket in Melbourne on Saturday, 11/19/16, was another huge success for GRRMF! Even though we only did one photo session this year (we usually hold two photo events), we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout! Before Santa even arrived from the North Pole, there were pups already in line for their pictures. Santa then made a grand entrance and never took a break until it was all over, even posing with the Pet Supermarket ladies!
Thank you, John G., for playing Santa so well. All of the dogs love you as do all of us. You’re so calm, even when it becomes hectic at times. Karin K. and Carole G. were kept busy from beginning to end at the registration tables for those folks who wanted pet photos taken with Santa. Thanks big time! You helped make the event run smoothly and organized. Raffle tickets were also sold for chances to win the $50 worth of scratch-off tickets from the popular Lottery Tree. Santa drew the lucky winner. The winner is friend of GRRMF. He promised if he “scratched big”, he would share his loot with GRRMF. Judy S. jumped into action with the doggie treats and/or squeaky toy to get the animals’ attention for the photographers. When we ran out of already decorated frames, Judy decorated even more frames. Thank you! Again this year, Reggie C. shared camera duties with Janet T. and once again did a fantastic job. After photos were taken, memory cards were given to Becky S. who then printed and placed them in decorated photo frames. This was no easy task, with numerous memory cards and pet parents who wanted only the best photo printed, Becky handled this amazingly. GRRMF would like to thank all those that helped and especially Janet T. and her elves for another fantastic fundraiser!
