Eli Allen, now known as Barkley, finds boundless ways to brighten his adoring adopters’ days!
Little did Barkley know at the time that he was already living in his fur-ever home. Why? He was his future family’s foster, and on adoption day, they were elated that he was finally theirs.
Active Barkley absolutely adores running around the large backyard and chasing tennis balls and other toys that his parents throw for him. But what delights his mom and makes her laugh is that each time they toss a tennis ball or a toy his way, he prances and does a sideways dance! And speaking of toys: Barkley’s favorites are squeaky toys. He loves sitting endlessly and entertaining himself by making noises with them.
Especially endearing to his parents is the fact that Barkley’s become more and more of a “Velcro” dog. He wasn’t that way at first. But happily, over time, he’s literally grown closer to them — basically being on top of them, which they love! His mom’s constant companion, always by her side, he faithfully follows her around the house, sits on her lap and sleeps next to his parents in bed at night.
Initially fearful of all guests, Barkley would hide and, on occasion, come out cautiously. Now he goes to the door and greets everyone eagerly and without hesitation. The consummate host!
