Sora Fae’s Success Story

Sora Fae’s Success Story

Entering Emma’s life as a 10-week-old foster, Sora Fae, with her serious expression and deep red coat like crushed velvet, instantly captured her future mom’s heart. She and her daughter were scarcely out of the vet’s parking lot before she was texting to ask what she had to do to adopt her!

A notorious – but adorable – “attention junkie,” Sora Fae is jealous of any person or animal receiving what she considers her A photo of Sora, a golden, swimming.attention. Particularly fond of tummy rubs, she will, in response to her mom’s command, “show me your belly,” roll over to more than gladly receive them. Dubbed “assuming the position,” it’s a huge hit with young and old alike, especially since she now accompanies her mom to various public venues as part of her Therapy dog training.

Sora Fae, laughs Emma, is like a goat. There’s not a table, chair or platform she can’t jump on to investigate. She also derives the greatest pleasure out of distributing random treats to the rest of her pack and posing for the best pictures. Extremely agile and enviably swift, she loves the water, and, as a true retriever, she’s famous for getting into things she’s not supposed to and sometimes chewing them up.

One example was when she and Emma visited the local fire station where she easily charmed everyone there. Not only was she utterly unfazed by the loud sirens, trucks and equipment, she gently accompanied her gramma’s wheelchair the entire time.

Sora Fae will shortly be taking her Canine Good Citizenship certification testing for basic, advanced and urban. She also attends weekly obedience and agility classes, and already visits an assisted living facility with Emma several times a week where, not surprisingly, she’s a huge hit with all of the residents.
