How much love and laughter result from adopting a GRRMF rescue pup? Just ask the Vincent family, who actually feel like they were the ones adopted by their sweet girl Skylar. The family’s
third GRRMF rescue, Skylar’s “dimples” and expressive eyebrows immediately won her family’s hearts, in addition to her impressive low bows.
Skylar entertains her family daily with these low bows, in which she plants her upper body flat on the floor with her hind quarters standing straight up. She also performs her happy dance while waiting for her food dish, as well as & “talks” when petted, which of course her family finds completely adorable!
On a daily basis, Skylar looks forward to her morning 3-mile walk, where she greets many new and old friends, both two- and four-legged. No one is a stranger to Skylar, and she knows exactly how to sit patiently waiting for pets. She also enjoys playing fetch with her toys and will lay them at her family’s feet just waiting for them to engage. Yet, Skylar likes her quiet moments, too, and will seek out one of her special spots, such as on the back patio, where she can soak up the sunshine and watch the wildlife.
Like many pups, Skylar has an incredibly accurate internal clock. Unfortunately, hers is set for 6 a.m., even on weekends. Should her family want to sleep on, Skylar will use her right paw until she has their full attention.
Skylar continues to shower her family and community with affection and her winning ways. As for the Vincent family? They are honored to have been chosen as Skylar’s forever family.
