Asked by GRRMF to foster Simba before formally adopting him, his future family readily agreed. Their happiest memory, therefore, was picking him up at the vet’s office in Tampa. Seeing his “olden golden” face for the first time brought them so much joy.
Simba LOVES being with his parents all the time, together as a family in one room – just the three of them. He also LOVES socializing. When his parents bring him to friends’ homes for a visit, he’s always the center of attention. “He really knows how to ‘work the room’ for a pat on the head or a scratch behind the ear,” admits his admiring mom.
What makes her laugh, though, is how much Simba hates it when he “loses” her. He must know where she always is. If she’s left the room while he’s napping and he wakes up and doesn’t see her, he runs around the house from room to room looking for her and is so very, very happy when he finds her.
To his parents, Simba, so adoring and so appreciative, is also an awesome companion. Their goal is to keep him happy in his remaining years. “He is perfect,” his mom declares. “We’re so happy that he adopted us!”
