Piper’s parents’ happiest memory of adoption day was the moment they met her. Initially unsure on the ride home, by the time they pulled into the driveway, Piper knew that she was in a loved home.
She absolutely loves being near her daddy – whether it’s sitting on the couch or walking around the yard — she’s always by his side. She also loves playtime, chasing after and playing with toys. But what she loves most is when she and her parents are interacting together as a family.
What makes Piper’s parents laugh? Her funniest little personality, especially when she gets excited. She does this little wiggle as though she can’t contain herself. And her facial expressions are priceless. Sometimes it feels, by the way she tilts her head, that she’s not only trying to have a full conversation with them, she truly understands every word and is judging them a little bit too!
They love watching Piper experience everything for the first time. Simple walks, new smells, new places, rides in the car with her head out the window suddenly feel like adventures. It’s like seeing the world through her eyes. Especially endearing to them is her exceptionally loving nature: she has the biggest heart and always wants to be close. Then there are her random bursts of energy when she runs around like she’s on a mission and then suddenly stops as if nothing happened.
As her mom so eloquently puts it: “Piper’s not just a pet, she’s part of our family, and we love making memories with her.”
