Delighting his new family by how high he could jump, Dodger Mickie was re-named Dodger Jordan in honor of the legendary Michael Jordan!
From the moment his mom saw him, she felt that their family was finally complete. They were so grateful knowing they were going to give him love and stability for the rest of his life. Dodger not only keeps them on their toes and active, he makes them laugh and keeps them all a little younger — including his big brother, Jackson.
Among Dodger’s many endearing traits … He can never be physically close enough to his mom, dad or fur brother, and is the most cuddly, affectionate dog his mom has ever known. He has a little ridge/mohawk that runs down the center of his snout that is as unique as it is adorable. Nothing phases him, from the vacuum cleaner and thunder to fireworks, and whenever Jackson feels anxious because of these sounds, Dodger will lie close to him and share some of his calmness with him.
As long as the family’s together, Dodger is happy. He loves going for long walks and cuddling as much as possible. He also loves chewing on bones, chasing lizards in the backyard, although he has no idea what to do when he actually catches them, and he’ll do absolutely anything for ice!
He’s gone on numerous beach outings with his family and recently joined them for the first time on their annual weekend visit to Sanibel Island.
Keeping everyone amused with his antics, Dodger loves to flop onto his tummy and army crawl for a nice belly scratch. He’s also good at a sneak attack. Oftentimes when his parents are sitting on the couch, a chair or lying in bed, suddenly, out of nowhere, Dodger’s lying in one of their laps!
He completed a beginner’s training course and was by far, the best in his class. He’s excellent at basic commands, eager to please and to learn.
According to his adoring mom, Dodger makes every day more fun and has brought so much extra love into their home. She finds it hard to remember what life was like before he became part of the family. She and her husband are thankful that GRRMF brought Dodger into their lives, and they can’t wait for the many years of adventures and memories to come.
