Cooper’s Success Story

Cooper’s Success Story

From the very first moment they met him, Cooper made an impression.

Ball in mouth, full wiggle-butt mode, and completely ready to love— it didn’t take long for Cory and Michelle to realize he was already choosing them.

Adopted on August 31, 2025, Cooper (formerly Sayer Arvid) walked into their lives with confidence, charm, and a personality that’s impossible to ignore.

A golden retriever sits on a couch while looking to the side with its tongue out.Cooper is the definition of joy in motion. He loves his toys—especially his spiky squeak balls, which quickly became his signature. What started as one turned into many, and now he rotates through his collection like it’s a full-time job. He’ll carry them everywhere, sleep with them, and play for hours without getting tired.

But nothing compares to his pool days.

Every month, when his kiddie pool comes out, Cooper knows exactly what time it is. He gathers his toys, jumps right in, and creates his own kind of chaos—splashing, playing, and fully embracing the moment. Those are the days his family loves most, because his happiness is impossible to miss.

A golden retriever lays with it's belly and paws up next to a tennis ball inside. His silly side shows up in the little things too. Like the time he tried to fit more than one ball in his mouth—and somehow succeeded once, proudly showing it off. Or when he chases his tail, rolls around upside down, or insists on getting scritches any chance he gets.

But Cooper isn’t just playful—he’s incredibly loving. Everyone he meets instantly becomes his new best friend. On walks, if someone is nearby, he’ll do everything he can to go say hello. And if you come into his home, you’re not a guest—you’re his person now. One time, when Cory’s sister came over, Cooper jumped straight into her car and wedged himself under the steering wheel, making sure she couldn’t leave without giving him the attention he deserved.

When left alone, he’s perfectly content—napping and relaxing until his family comes back, ready to greet them with the same excitement as always.

Since his adoption, he’s already been part of so many moments— from dog parks and dinners out, to a taco festival and his very first Christmas surrounded by family.

He may not have formal training, but Cooper has already mastered something much more important: how to bring people together, make them laugh, and turn everyday moments into something special.

And for the Collins family, that’s more than enough.
