Archie Marc’s Success Story

Archie Marc’s Success Story

Welcoming a new family member is often a joyful experience—which is exactly how Archie’s new family describes the day they adopted their fur-ever rescue pup Archie. As Archie’s parents recall, “riding home with Archie in the back between our two girls” brought the biggest smile to everyone’s faces.

And in Archie’s case, he smiles with his whole face, with his tongue cutely sticking out. Although always a happy pup, Archie lives for time spent with his family. His mom notes that she’s “never met a dog that was so good at cuddling.” Archie uses that snuggling superpower to help calm and soothe his sisters (still toddlers), which is much appreciated by his parents. He’s also a fun reading buddy for the girls.

Archie is truly a sweet, loyal family member. He follows his mom everywhere she goes and always wants to be part of the action. He is also quite the talker and has a very effective way of communicating. For example, he will quietly wake up his mom in the middle of the night for a potty break, without waking up his sisters. Very impressive!

Is Archie truly an angel? Not exactly. As a food-oriented pup—and aren’t they all?  Archie once tried to reach some crumbs left in the kitchen sink while his family was out. He somehow managed to turn on the water and push the faucet over the counter, resulting in an inch of water on the floor by the time his parents returned home. But who could stay mad with a face like Archie’s?

Archie’s face is actually known throughout the neighborhood. Although still a little on the skittish side, Archie is always excited to see his furry friends. Whenever he sees one coming, he crouches down in the grass and then pounces playfully. Archie’s new family thoroughly enjoys those daily walks with him.

What’s next for Archie and his family? More fun as well as some additional obedience work. As Archie’s mom says, “let’s just say that training is always a work in progress!” Thankfully, what has never been in doubt is Archie’s sweet nature. He has truly become a wonderful member of the family.
