Hey y’all, I’m Wilson! I was brought here to GRRMF by nice folks who wanted to help me have a better life. When I first got here, they thought I was 7, but the vet I saw the other day believes that I’m actually 10! Oh well, I still feel like I’m 7!
I’m getting along well in my foster home and I love my foster mom! I enjoy following her around and when she’s working in her office, I do my best to be as close to her chair as possible! When I lean on her leg, I’m telling her that I want to be loved and get attention. I love people, and one time when a lady stopped to meet me, I jumped into her golf cart and didn’t want to get out! And even though I’ve never actually been on a car ride, my foster mom says that if there’s a car in the driveway, I’ll act like I want to get in. I also enjoy going on walks, even though sometimes my foster mom and I disagree on where to go! I know come and will sometimes sit, and my foster mom is working with me on these commands.
Although I do like my walks, I unfortunately need to have my activity restricted because I’ve been diagnosed with heartworm. I’m also told that I’m a bit on the hefty side and could stand to lose about 10 pounds. It will be a bit of an uphill battle but I know I’m in great hands with the caring people here at GRRMF, all the wonderful vets they work with, and of course my foster mom! In addition, I’m also counting on the wonderful generosity of people like you to help GRRMF with all the treatment I will need to get me healthy and on the road to my forever family. I’m not going to let this setback stop me from living my best life and I hope some donors out there can help me. Thank y’all so much and after you donate, don’t forget to come back in the coming weeks and months to check on my progress!
