Nothing but bright days ahead with this ray of sunshine! Sunny definitely lives up to her name with her happy and bubbly personality.
Sunny gets super excited when she meets new people of all ages, and she loves it when they shower her with kindness. Her foster mom says she shakes all over and prances with excitement when you give her attention. She has met other dogs and although she was a little timid at first, once everyone said hello and passed the sniff tests, she was thrilled to make new friends. She is playful with her furry buddies and enjoys being chased as much as she likes doing the chasing. Sunny would do well in a home with another dog so she always has a playmate.
Sunny is house trained, and she knows commands such as sit, down, off, bed (crate), and come here. She is staying in a home with a 4-month old puppy and Sunny doesn’t mind when the pup wanders into the crate even if she is already inside. Sunny is happy to share space, toys, and food and doesn’t exhibit any guarding behavior. When her foster mom is preparing meals, Sunny sits quietly with the other dogs, but you can see how excited she is about dinner by the big smile on her face. When she is really happy, Sunny may jump up to say hello to people or to check out what is on the counter, but a simple hand gesture will get her to sit back down.
Sunny absolutely loves bath time and jumps up on the bath station every day hoping it’s time to soap up and splash in the water! She came to GRRMF with some skin infections, but with treatment and her love of a bath, her hair and skin are already on the mend and looking so much better. Sunny is just as excited when the leash comes out and she finds out it is time for a walk around the neighborhood.
Sunny is a little shy with new sounds, places, and people and may move to her safe place in the crate while she assesses the situation. Her foster mom says she warms up quickly and just needs to get the OK that she is allowed to join in with whatever is going on.
Get ready to bring this happy girl home so every day can be filled with sparkle and sunshine!
