Scarlett is a sweet and affectionate golden retriever who thrives on being close to her people. The ultimate Velcro dog, she will happily follow you from room to room and lie down touching you just to be near. She adores giving gentle face kisses, making sure you’re always “clean,” and her heart shines brightest when she’s spending time with her family. Scarlett has done wonderfully with older children (ages 12 and 14) in her foster home, and she also gets along beautifully with the resident 9-year-old golden retriever. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or very young children yet, her calm and friendly nature suggests she would adjust well with the right introductions. She’s unfazed by wildlife in the yard, house trained, and already knows several commands including sit, stay, down, and no.
Playful yet easygoing, Scarlett loves car rides, fetch, walks, and toys—though plush toys don’t last long with her playful shredding! She’s equally happy being active or simply relaxing by your side, so long as she’s close to her person. She walks well on a leash, has shown no behavioral issues, and has proven to be a loving, loyal companion who just wants to be part of your everyday life. With her affectionate personality, trainability, and eagerness to bond, Scarlett is ready to bring joy, snuggles, and lots of golden retriever love to her forever home.
