Meet Rachel, an affectionate “Cajun” cutie all the way from Louisiana! Rachel is looking to share plenty of hugs and kisses with her new forever family!
According to Rachel’s foster mom, Rachel is happiest when she is in a lap “cuddling with her person!” She enjoys human contact in every way possible: she will nudge you, place her paws around your shoulders for a hug, and give kisses! Unsurprisingly, her favorite activity is receiving belly rubs and rolling around on the floor to scratch her back. Rachel finds playing with toys a bore when she has a human to keep company!
In addition to cuddling, Rachel is “very motivated to work for treats.” In fact, her foster mom says that after obeying the command to sit, she will strategically place herself in front of the others dogs for another reward! Undoubtably, Rachel enjoys her meals and bones, but she does not mind sharing with her foster brothers and sisters.
While Rachel gets along with the dogs in her foster home just fine, she would rather serve as a blanket for her foster mom as she watches the other dogs play. Rachel is shy and takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she feels comfortable, she’ll “Velcro” to you and be your pal forever. Rachel’s foster mom says Rachel has not been crated, but she does whimper and give the front door a good paw to remind you that she’s there! Nonetheless, she is both well-behaved and house-trained!
Rachel has a lot of love to give so she needs a family to provide the same love in return. She has been on a long and arduous journey to Florida to find her forever home. If you give her the chance, this “Cajun” cutie from Louisiana could be the perfect addition to your family.
