Luna Judie and her brother, Sunday Jag, came to GRRMF after surviving the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma in Puerto Rico.
Luna is a love sponge who would like nothing more than to lie next to you and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give! She enjoys belly rubs and cuddles, and appreciates the extra reassurance that she’s safe and loved. Her foster family reports that Luna is very sweet and enjoys getting love from everyone in the family. She especially likes children. She is a bit timid and may get startled by sudden movements near her, but she doesn’t seem interested in cats or other animals.
One of Luna’s favorite activities is to accompany you while you’re cooking. She loves eating and wants to be the chef’s personal taste-tester! She is happy to accept any ingredients that come her way, so she and her foster mom are working on better kitchen manners, being careful not to allow Luna to overindulge in too many treats. She is very protective of her food, so feeding her separately from other pets is recommended.
Don’t let Luna’s age fool you. She is full of energy and loves to play! She behaves like a much younger golden and enjoys being outdoors and going for walks. She is still learning her leash manners and will need some training to master that skill. Luna is fully housebroken and has not had any accidents when left home alone.
Luna also enjoys lounging around the house, especially if you’re laying with her and giving her attention. She would be thrilled to find a forever family with a ‘loving and comfy for lounging together’ home!
