Update: February 25, 2026 Bubba is really starting to show his true playful self. His foster mom reports, “One of the cutest things he does is chase his tail.” She also says Bubba has no idea he’s 88 pounds of furry fun and would probably be best in a home with older children.
Meet Bubba, a 7-year-old handsome, gentle giant who just wants to be your best friend. One look at his sweet face and your heart will melt!
Currently, Bubba is living with his foster family that includes two young children. He is described as playful and loving with his 2 legged family members. Bubba loves being close to his humans, especially the children! If you’re sitting down, he will come nuzzle his face in your lap for some cuddles.
Bubba might have a few grey hairs, but he has so much love and life to give his future forever family. He encompasses all the best quirks of a golden: silly, goofy, sweet, and eager to please. He has learned a lot so far in his life and is very well trained. He knows many commands and does not require a crate when his foster family leaves.
Bubba enjoys exploring the world outside through his nose. Walks are his favorite, and he perks up when he spots a squirrel. He also enjoys a good car ride where he can stick his head out the window and feel the breeze along his face. If you like giving belly rubs, he enjoys receiving them! He truly likes just about anything. He does get nervous during big thunderstorms, but as long as you have a bathtub he will shelter calmly until it passes.
Bubba is the perfect addition to anyone looking for some golden sunshine in their life. His coat color is honey yellow, similar to pooh, and he’s got big chocolate brown eyes that will follow you everywhere you go. This quintessential golden won’t last long, reach out to meet him!
