Like the song says Bryant just wants to be “Close to you!”  This pup is an avid cuddle bug who loves being touched and near his person at all times.  Bryant is one of The Louisiana Bayou Boys who came to GRRMF with his three brothers looking for a loving, fun, forever home.

Full of puppy play and a zest for life, Bryant is a sweet, loving pup that doesn’t seem to have an aggressive bone in his body.  He has demonstrated that he is wonderful with children, from younger to older and is not afraid of being around them. Bryant has showed and interest in playing with other dogs but is still a little shy. The foster kitties aren’t to fond of him as he has attempted to chase them – a little more slow, proper introduction in that area will be needed. Despite his interested in chasing the cats, he hasn’t seemed to notice or care about smaller creatures such as lizards, squirrels and bunnies.

Some of Bryant’s favorite things to do are going on walks (doing well on leash) and playing lovingly, with his stuffed animals, chew toys and squeaker toys.  He hasn’t quite figured out the game of fetch yet and hasn’t showed interest in the pool. Time will tell if these sports will be some of his favorites as he grows older.

This Bayou Boy is a young pup that has much to learn about new sounds, new people, new feelings and settling when his foster family can’t be with him.  Since puppy 101 house training and learning to chew on appropriate objects is still in progress, Bryant is confined to his crate when his foster family is out. He goes in his crate and enjoys some snacks while he waits for his foster mom to return; at this time, he is not a fan of being left alone. Grooming isn’t his deal yet and he will need some patience and time to learn to enjoy the feeling of brushing and other grooming procedures.  Bryant is a smart pup and is doing well at learning sit, go potty, off, outside, inside, leave it and easy – impressive!

As Bryant gains more confidence and independence he will make a wonderful family dog. With lots of love, patience and commitment this smart and sweet boy will be really neat – making him part of your family can’t be beat!  If you are interested in making Bryant a member of your family click here.
