Hi there, I’m Barkley! I was brought here to GRRMF when my owner passed away and I needed a new home.
I’m getting comfortable here in my foster home and I get along pretty well with my foster dog sibling (unless it’s play time and he decides not to share—how rude!) and I love my human foster sibling! I’m not too fond of my foster’s cat though. My foster mom says I am usually pretty submissive and that I am super sweet and loving! 
I love to play with toys and will often play fetch with myself, throwing a ball in the air and catching it again and again. When I get excited or want to let my humans know I want something, I have no trouble barking to alert them! My foster mom says it’s really adorable when I get so excited when she gets home from work that I start barking. I love to be brushed and I will sit still and even smile while it’s happening. I’m not a huge fan of loud noises and will run and hide if something is too loud.
I am a very good boy and I know my stay and come commands, and my favorite… go for a walk! Sitting is a bit of a struggle for me because of hip and joint soreness, but I’m on medication for it. It doesn’t stop me from being active at play time though! I am house trained and don’t usually need to be isolated. My foster mom says that I am just really laid back and sweet, and an overall amazing dog! I can’t wait to find my forever family!
