Hi friends! We’re Angus and Mungo, two Golden Retrievers who started life in very different places but somehow ended up in the same wonderfully crazy family.
Angus from GRRMF was adopted in 2016, and Mungo made an even bigger journey— rescued from Turkey by YGRR and joining the family in 2020. None of us know our exact birthdays, but we like to say we’re experienced gentlemen now… Angus heading into his 13th summer and Mungo around 9 or 10.
And let us tell you—rescue life turned out pretty amazing.
Our humans love Goldens, love adventure, and most importantly… they take us everywhere. So when they decided to spend time living in England, they didn’t leave us behind. Instead, they found an airline made just for dogs. Yes, really. 
Last September we boarded a Bark Air flight with a small group of fellow pups and their humans. There were belly rubs before boarding, new dog friends to meet, comfy spots to stretch out, and even a little paw “spa treatment” during the flight. Angus slept through most of it (professional napper), while Mungo made sure everything met his travel standards.
Seven hours later we landed in England, greeted some very polite humans with wonderful accents, and made an important stop at a grassy patch before heading to a cozy dog-friendly pub for the night.
Not bad for two rescue dogs who just needed a chance. 
Now we’re settling into village life in the English countryside—and this is only the beginning of our next adventure.
Proof that rescue dogs don’t just get a second chance… sometimes they get the adventure of a lifetime.
