Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid Florida set up a booth at the Hoot in the Park Event for the Florida Wildlife Hospital on Saturday, 11/18/23, at the Wickham Park Main Pavilion in Melbourne. All the rain days before the event ruined the area where all the vendors were to set up. The Florida Wildlife Hospital volunteers worked extra-hard to place all of the rescue organizations and vendors on the opposite side of the pavilion. Our new location was nice because everyone had to walk past us to get inside the pavilion. There were lots of people and lots of dogs who visited our booth.
Huge thanks to Janet, Chris, and Karin for setting up the booth, breaking down the booth at the end, manning the booth and cheerfully accepting donations. Charlotte joined us with her sweet Golden Misty as well as Hearts of Gold Team member Toni and her beautiful Goldendoodle Ruby. Goldens know how to bring in the crowds! Thanks Charlotte and Toni for showcasing your wonderful Goldens and helping us at the booth.
