Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween is a blast, but it can be a bit spooky for our furry friends.

Here’s how to keep your pup safe and happy:

  1. Chill Zone: Create a cozy, quiet room for your dog to relax in. Avoid the doorbell madness by greeting trick-or-treaters outside. Leave your pup at home while you collect candy.
  2. No Treats for Pups: Keep candy out of paw’s reach! Teach kids not to share their sweets—chocolate, gum, and sugar substitutes are a no-go for dogs.
  3. Decorate Wisely: Choose pet-safe decorations. Your dog doesn’t know the difference between a chew toy and a rubber eyeball!
  4. Comfy Costumes: Make sure your dog’s costume is comfy and hazard-free. If they look uncomfortable (folded ears, sideways glances, tucked tail), it’s time to ditch the outfit.
  5. ID is a Must: The best-dressed pet always wears a collar with ID.
  6. Indoor Fun: Bring pets inside during trick-or-treat hours. Keep them away from open doors with a crate or leash. If the noise is too much, a quiet room is the way to go.
  7. Safe Candles: Keep candles and jack-o’-lanterns out of reach—no singed tails here!
  8. Supervise the Kiddos: Watch out for kids reaching for your dog. Even the friendliest pups can get spooked by costumes and loud noises.
  9. Treat Time: Reward your dog for good behavior with their favorite doggie treats.

Let’s make this Halloween a howling good time for everyone!
