My Journey:
I was looking for a place to volunteer where I could make a difference, and GRRMF has given me this opportunity. Every time I write about a dog who’s available for adoption, I get attached to them – even if though I’ve never met them in person. The same goes for the people I work alongside, our amazing volunteers are from all over the country. Each one is talented and works hard to insure every dog is happy and healthy. How can that not make you feel good at the end of the day?
When one of our dogs gets adopted because of a biography written by one of our team members or by myself, I smile. When people donate or volunteer because of a piece I’ve written, I know I’ve made a difference. Being a part of the media team has given me a chance to help – and not just the dogs. I know I’m a small part of creating a happy family.
