Luna is a calm and gentle young lady who is sweeter than your favorite candy. She is staying with her foster family and their 6-year old golden. As soon as they met, they became instant friends and started enjoying playtime all around the house and in the backyard. When they tire out, they snuggle together for nap time.

Luna starts each day by waking her foster parents with a toy in her mouth and her tail wagging telling them she is ready to go! She is very affectionate and will paw at you to let you know she is looking for some ear scratches and kisses. Her foster mom says she is a true Velcro dog who wants her people or furry foster sister in her line of sight at all times. Although Luna is a big girl, she is very gentle and compassionate. When her foster sister was a little under the weather, Luna licked the top of her head and nuzzled her neck to let her know she was looking out for her. Watch her play with her favorite ball.

Luna is working on taking off some unwanted pounds. With the extra weight, her back legs are giving her a little trouble going up a full flight of stairs or hopping up on the couch. Luna likes to tug on her leash so she is practicing her leash-walking skills in the backyard while also getting in some steps to help with her weight loss journey.

Luna is house trained and although she has a crate available, she hasn’t used it. She responds to commands like sit and come. She is working on sitting for longer periods, especially when she meets someone new and wants to leap up to give them a very excited hello.

Luna will jump a little at sudden loud noises and she isn’t interested in making friends with the vacuum or lawnmower. She just moves to another room or heads back into the house if she hears a noise that bothers her. Although Luna will ride in the car, something to settle her belly would be helpful because she gets a bit of motion sickness.

Luna can’t wait to find an active family who will get her moving and shower her with affection!
