Say hello to Tally — a sweet, kind soul with the softest eyes and the most loving heart. Tally is the kind of dog who brings a calm to the room just by being in it. She shares her affection freely with humans and pets alike, and her gentle nature shines through in everything she does.
Tally has met small children and handles their energy with grace and patience, staying relaxed and gentle by their side. In her foster home, she lives peacefully with an older small dog. They may not be wrestling buddies, but you’ll often find them lying side by side, enjoying each other’s quiet company. Cats are no problem. Tally respects their space and mostly pretends they don’t exist.
When it’s time for a walk, Tally has her own subtle way of asking. She’ll sit and stare lovingly at her leash until you get the hint. Out on walks, she soaks up attention, smiling proudly when passersby stop to pet her and tell her how cute she is. Park visits are a favorite, especially when squirrels are involved. Tally will happily chase them to a tree and then wait patiently at the base, convinced they’ll come back down for round two.
Tally is a dream dog. She’s fully house-trained, doesn’t need a crate, comes when called, and knows how to sit on command. She’s still learning a few more tricks, but she’s eager, attentive, and ready to keep learning with her future family. Belly rubs, cuddles, quiet companionship — these are her love languages. She wants nothing more than to be near her people, soaking up affection and giving it right back.
Right now, Tally is facing a temporary hurdle: she is heartworm positive and will soon begin treatment. While the process takes time and resources, GRRMF is fully committed to helping Tally get healthy so she can move forward to the life she deserves. With the right care, patience, and love, she will be ready to thrive in her forever home. Your generosity helps make that future possible.
Please help us help Tally and other dogs in need of healing.
