Watch out Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher! Here comes Sawyer … and he would get along well with Mark Twain’s beloved characters, too. He loves to play outside, hunt for lizards and roughhouse with his foster siblings.
Sawyer is a big playful puppy who enjoys being brushed and having his chin rubbed. He also gobbles up treats and is smart enough – even as a puppy – to know how to sit sweetly and take them gently.
His foster mom says, “He always has a smile on his beautiful face. He is a very happy puppy.” But a puppy he is, and he needs a family with the time and patience to help him grow into a handsome and well-behaved golden. Sawyer already knows several commands and is learning more with his foster family.
He is housebroken but does not like being in a crate. His foster mom says that he is not destructive and hasn’t chewed anything other than his toys. She brags Sawyer is very smart and willing to learn, especially when treats and attention are the reward!
Just like Tom Sawyer had his Aunt Polly to love and care for him, this young boy needs a caring home as well. Could that home be yours?
