This beautiful and well-mannered lady is going to capture your heart! Ellie loves to be with people of all ages and just like your shadow, she will be by your side wherever you go. Just watch where you are stepping so you don’t trip and accidentally end up beside her on the floor.
Ellie is staying in a home with two other dogs and a cat. She fits in well and gets along with her furry foster brothers, especially since they are very gentle with her. She can be a little shy at first and would do best with slow and calm introductions to other dogs who have more dominant personalities. She has only shown a mild interest in the cat but has engaged in some lizard chasing in the backyard.
Ellie prefers to quietly assess new places and situations before she gives her stamp of approval. If anything seems out of sorts, she will seek out her person for a little confidence boost. She does not startle at loud noises or traffic. She isn’t always eager to jump in and out of the car, but with a little encouragement, she will climb up and enjoy the ride.
Ellie’s foster family says she loves anything that involves water so a home with a pool would be her dream come true. She may even follow you into the shower or tub! After she dries off, break out the brush for some grooming time because Ellie always wants to look her best.
Ellie is house trained, and her foster family makes sure she gets frequent outings so she can continue to be successful. She knows the command for ‘crate’ and will happily go inside and make herself comfortable. Ellie is a good leash walker, and she is practicing how to heel and also learning to sit when asked.
Grab the pool toys and get ready to jump in with this affectionate girl!
