In loving memory of our friend and Sanctuary Foster, Sherry, who sadly passed away yesterday before this beautiful story that she contributed to was published. Sherry’s compassion and love for our rescues with special needs helped many dogs have a special forever home filled with gentle care and love that she so willingly shared.

Love is figuratively carved in the shape of a heart on Cash’s elegant, chiseled face.

Easygoing, calm and ever so gentle, Cash craves his foster mom’s attention and loves when she pets him and rubs his belly … over and over and over again. He also loves relaxing, comfortably and cozily, beside her and then faithfully following her around the house. Passionate about his two female fur siblings, 8-year-old Macie Rose, a Maltese Shih Tzu and 6-year-old Willow Joy, a miniature Golden Doodle, he’s seldom out of their sight, showing there’s solidarity in numbers and that three’s definitely company!

Mornings still start with Cash enjoying his now-famous Golden rolls in the backyard, followed by the breakfast he loves and a leisurely walk through the neighborhood. A genial host, he warmly welcomes everyone who comes to the house with open paws, and especially enjoys going for rides in the car. Never one to miss dinner, he’s never shy about letting his foster mom know when it’s time for his favorite treat: a crisp and juicy apple with his “name on it.” Woof!

Because of the love and dedication of our Sanctuary families and the donations of our supporters, who generously help the GRRMF Sanctuary program, we are able to assist deserving dogs like Cash live out their days in comfort and love.
