Isabella Jessey #3753

Isabella Jessey #3753

Age: 3 years

Gender: Female

Breed: Golden Retriever Blend

Weight: 85 lbs.

Status: Pending Adoption

This curly haired sweetie needs a new castle because her family was moving and could not take her.

Isabella is described by her foster mom as perfectly named, because she is a regal Princess Golden Doodle!  She made friends quickly in her foster home with her 7 year old golden sibling.  She was most respectful of him and learned her way around by following her “big brother,” and “lord of the manor” around.  She adapted easily to meal routines and truly enjoys having her meals served in a “separate dining room” from her brother, but at the same time.

She likes to play wrestle with her foster dog, look out the windows at the world and play fetch with the tennis ball (still learning to bring it back). She’s a great watch dog and alerts you to deliveries with her very big bark (no bite, of course). She follows her foster mom constantly, but she isn’t a jumper and doesn’t push other dogs away. She’s very respectful of others’ space. She is very calm in the car looking out the window.

She knows “sit” “down” “walk” and is learning “stay.”  Somewhere along the line, she’s learned “high five” and will balance on her hind feet; while gracefully putting out her front paws for you to high five her back!  She loves to learn new tricks with training treats.  She loves to fish a ball out of the pool, but she doesn’t care to swim.

Isabella gets excited to go for walks in the neighborhood and can’t wait to get the leash on for those morning and evening walks.  This is good news, because she is working on her girlish figure, since her vet told her that she needs to shed 10 pounds. She just loves to sniff along the way, and greet other dogs, walkers and kids as if it were her very own kingdom.

Although she doesn’t beg in the kitchen or when her family is at the table, she will “surf” counters, sealed trash cans, or anywhere she smells food, if unattended. Thunder and fireworks maker her nervous and she shows this by barking and running towards her foster mom.  She calms down with gentle words and stroking along her nose.   She was pleasantly distracted during the July 4th fireworks, by figuring out how to lick frozen peanut butter from a Kong toy.

If you are hoping for a dog filled with love, style and elegance, who is a respectful and loving beauty, you can be sure that Isabella is hoping for you too!
