Let me tell you a little bit about myself because I could be the special guy you have been looking for to complete your family.
My name is Cooper and I am a 7.5-year-old golden. I am a sweet and handsome guy, but at this age, I have a couple of quirks that I want to share, although I am certain you won’t mind them at all. I like other dogs and I am currently staying at a home with a black lab. We have gotten to know each other and we get along well, but when we play together for too long, I like to climb on his back and that’s not his favorite thing. Although spending time with other playmates can be fun, I might do better in a home where I am your only pet so I can be top dog.
I am definitely what you would call a Velcro dog. I will follow you around the house because I really like to be near my people and I am always in search of some head scratches. I will even push my head into your lap to let you know when I want some more attention. However, I am very sensitive about being touched in my rear area, so for now, let’s keep that off limits. Maybe as we get to know each other, we can work on this together. You will often find me following you to the kitchen looking for any crumbs that may have been dropped on the floor. My foster dad says I am a kitchen hound, but I like to think of it as helping you clean up around the house.
I enjoy time outdoors and I am always up for a game of fetch or just taking a long walk. I am housebroken and I am familiar with commands like come, sit, and lay down. I have a crate and although I may go in to get some shut eye, I prefer that you keep the door open at all times. I really don’t like loud noises so I would do best in a home that is a bit more on the quiet side where I can relax.
