Brodie is a very sweet and loving dog who wants nothing more than to be lying at your feet.

Upon arriving at his foster home, Brodie was said to be very skittish and cautious of new surroundings, people, and sudden movements like lizards or blowing leaves. But as he is settling in, he seems to be relaxing and acclimating quickly.

“He has been very good about being introduced to newcomers. All it takes is a hand out to let him smell and then everything seems fine,” says his foster mom.

We don’t know a lot about his previous living circumstances, but when it comes to house manners Brodie knows his commands, that’s for sure. Among his talents are sit, stay, down, in (go in crate) and outside. He is house trained, likes his crate at night and when he is left alone for short periods during the day. And while we don’t have any report on how he behaves around small children or other pets, he does very well with the teenagers in his foster family.

He is a very lovable and loving dog. He enjoys attention, being petted, and wants to be around people. He gets very excited to greet visitors, and obeys his commands to settle down.

“After we’ve been gone, Brodie is very excited to see us,” says his foster mom. “He likes to make his rounds and welcome everyone back into the house.”

Brodie is currently wearing a cone and is on doctor’s orders for limited mobility due to his recent neuter surgery. His foster mom says he is anxious to get back to regular walks, playing with his stuffed toys, fetching balls and doing all the normal dog activities once he is cleared by the vet.

This sweet boy needs to know that the world is a caring place, and peaceful, relaxing homes do exist. Brodie loves to be around people, so if your family is home most of the day, then we invite you to apply to adopt this wonderful dog.
