Her days of running wild around the back yard may be behind her, but her love of nature is still strong. Amber enjoys going for walks and spending time outside smelling, sniffing, and exploring her world.
Back inside the house, she’s good as gold. Amber likes watching and barking at neighbors walking by her perch at the window. She’s not a Velcro dog, just wants to know what her foster mom is up to and if any treats are coming her way!
Amber has arthritis. She takes medicines to help her mobility, but it’s Amber’s personality that won’t let her slow down. Sometimes she does need a helping hand getting up and walking down a flight of stairs can be difficult. Also, Amber has always been an only dog. When she sees another dog, she will bark as a signal to them to give her some space. Amber is now going to live the rest of her life in the care of a very special family. She will be well cared for and loved in our Sanctuary program.
