Did you know simply by walking, biking or running, you can donate funds to GRRMF to help our  goldens?  As rescue partner with Best Friends, Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida is eligible to receive a percentage of funds made available by generous sponsors to a special fund with the Best Friends organization.

2021 was a year to remember and not all in a good way, but through it all our GRRMF supporters were able to get out and move!  Together they contributed over 24,000 miles and Best Friends donated more than $145 to the organization.  To see the list of GRRMF movers, click here.  If your name isn’t on there – why not???

The app measures the distance (by GPS) in miles/or kilometers for each mile that is under 22 miles per hour and for only 30 miles each day.  A simple way to support us 365 days a year and get fit and enjoy special bonding time with your pup and family at the same time!!

Each user’s distance is recorded and added to the weekly amount raised for rescue. At the end of the quarter donations are paid out to the rescues in proportion to the total distance walked – meaning the more you walk for us, the more money we will receive from the pool.  And you don’t have to just walk with your dog. Walk to the store or around the mall.  Do it for your health and help save goldens too!
