It's GRRMF Reunion Time!

Please help us celebrate our 21st Year of Rescuing Goldens!

    

Join us Saturday, February 18, 2012 for the Rescue Reunion, our huge homecoming picnic for all our adoptive families and their goldens! 


When: Saturday, February 18, 2012

Where: Lake Parker Park, 910 E Granada Street,
Lakeland, FL 33801

Time: 10: 00 am - 3:00 pm

Who: GRRMF Adoptive families, members and supporters

Activities: Games for you and your golden, raffle, golden goods, vendors, all kinds of fun things for you and your dog!

Why Come to the Reunion?  To witness all the smiling faces – golden and human – seeing so much wonderful “gold” is incredible!  When you come to the reunion not only will you be happy but our volunteers get a huge motivational boost when they see the dogs they helped rescue doing so well. Laura Allen pet photographer will be here to take pictures (reserve your space NOW at Laura's web site: http://www.lauraallenstudios.com) and graphic artist Don Boniface will be joining us to capture your furry friend in a fabulous drawing.

Note: Due to scheduling conflicts the Mid Florida Golden Retriever Club will not be hosting their grooming booth this year.

Food: Sgt Major Barbecue will provide on-site catering to include: pulled pork, hot dogs, or polish sausage, potato chips, and soda for only $5 per person!

Lake Parker Park is located on Lake Parker. It is 100.5 acres of native Florida vegetation with lake access and hiking trails. The park is accessible from Robson Road and Granada Road off of Lakeland Hills Boulevard. Lake Parker is used by nature enthusiasts for bird watching and families of all ages. For more information, call the number above or visit www.lakelandgov.net/parkrec/parks/LakeParkerPark.html. This is the same location as last year, mid-way between Orlando and Tampa.

FROM TAMPA:
Take I-4 East from Tampa to Lakeland Exit #33 (State Road 33). The exit will be from the right hand lane. Take the off ramp to the stop light/ yield sign. Turn right onto State Road 33. From this yield sign, travel South on State Road 33 (Lakeland Hills Boulevard). Move into the left hand lane, traveling South for 1.5 miles to Robson Street. Turn left onto E. Robson Street. Landmarks for Robson Street: All Children’s Specialty Care, Railroad Industial Federal Credit Union, Lakeland Animal Clinic, bus parking for Bloodnet USA. Proceed to signs marking the entrance to Lake Parker Park on the left. Lake Parker Park Gate #4.


FROM ORLANDO:
Take I-4 West from Orlando to Lakeland Exit #33 (State Road 33). The exit will be from the right hand lane. Take the off ramp to the stop light. This intersection is Socrum Loop Road. Turn left onto Socrum Loop Road. Move into the right hand lane. Travel in the right lane underneath I-4. There will be a yield sign as you merge into traffic on State Road 33. Travel South in the left hand lane for 1.3 miles once you get onto State Road 33. Turn left onto E. Robson Street. Landmarks for Robson Street: All Children’s Specialty Care, Lakeland Animal Clinic, Railroad Industrial Federal Credit Union, bus parking for Bloodnet USA. Proceed to signs marking the entrance to Lake Parker Park on the left. Lake Parker Park Gate #4.
