Sweet Rose and her dear brother Charlie found themselves in need of a new home because it was simply impossible for their family to keep them.
They arrived at their foster home together and Rose was thrilled that she had her dear brother Charlie with her. The two of them were safe and sound andyou could almost hear the sighs of relief their first night.
Rose gives kisses as frequently as she can and she has the happiest tail – it is always wagging. She even swishes it back and forth while eating. This lovely lady is a total retriever and must have one of her beloved “stuffies” in her mouth. She even brings her foster mom some slippers from the closet. Like her brother, Rose is easy, calm, patient, happy and so grateful for love. She enjoys going for walks and greets children along her way, with her warm cuddly personality. Rose is getting enough exercise for both, while Charlie is taking it easy. She will assist him as he gets up to speed once he is fully recovered, that is for sure.
Her foster mom gives her “fur”ever family a fair warning – that if you pet her, Charlie will wake from a sound sleep to come get his pets as well. They keep their heads super close together so that you can pet both with a single hand going back and forth. Truly they have managed to perfect the art of being Velcro goldens to their humans and each other.
Rose has some itchy skin issues but is no longer on meds. With her medicated baths and a good diet and supplements, she is thriving. She continues to practice crossing from carpet to tile and vice versa – for her it is a bit like crossing a river.
These dogs are a pair of love muffins and will make wonderful additions to the special family we found who is willing to take both together forever. Once brother Charlie finishes his heartworm treatment and heals in his foster home, they will both be adopted!
