Honey was recently surrendered when her family moved to an apartment. Honey LOVES to ride in the car, is gentle with children and is very velcro, always wanting to be with her foster mom. She is ok on a leash and does get fearful when she sees other dogs in the neighborhood. She is starting some specialized training in this area to build her confidence. She has a bed of honor in the master bedroom and is content being on her bed through the night. She is not a fan of a crate or being confined in any way. Honey currently doesn’t have any interest in toys or tennis balls but keeps the squirrels in the yard on their toes when she is out in the yard with her foster mom. She would like to be on the furniture with you and loves the belly rugs that being there will likely bring! She is gentle when taking food and will leave any food dropped on the floor or left on the counter alone.
This is the time in her foster period where we are focusing on building confidence, trust and giving her information through training to help her feel safe and secure. More information will be shared about sweet Honey as we learn more about her.
