Pookie’s is proud to announce its 9th Annual RescueFest, a fundraiser and adoption day to benefit local non-profit animal rescue groups! This year’s event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the picturesque Lake Lily Park in Maitland. GRRMF will be one of the many rescues there who will be focused on rescue education, our adoption process as well as have some goodies you can buy to help support our rescue. GRRMF will not have adoptable dogs at the event as they are happier tucked comfortably in their loving foster homes. Our volunteers will be there with their canine ambassadors to share their success stories and how you can become a volunteer or adopt from GRRMF.
Last year’s event was Pookie’s most successful yet with nearly 6,000 animal lovers joined the festivities. A wide variety of pet services including pet trainers, pet sitters, pet communicators, pet boarding and veterinary services will be on-site to provide information, giveaways and more. Natural foods and supplements companies will share educational information on pet nutrition and raffle off goodies. Music, food trucks and entertainment will abound as well. And naturally, RescueFest is family and pet-friendly!
