This face belongs to Shannon a two year old female with stunning beauty with a bright and happy smile to go with it. Let’s frolic and make merry! Standing flat footed this bundle of adolescent energy can jump straight up in the air in celebration and excitement. You see Shannon spent the last quarter of her short life in surgeries and rehabilitation for bad knees. Now that the hard part is all behind her she is ready and anxious for a forever home with a fenced backyard and maybe a canine friend or two to play with. |

At two years of age many golden retrievers are still teenagers at heart and some are still just puppies. That’s why obedience classes are an essential consideration for young dogs like her. Self discipline and good citizenship are learned skills and the learning builds confidence in dogs and owners. The socialization skills learned by your dog in class are invaluable in themselves, and a confident and well behaved dog make you and your best friend the envy of everyone you meet. Shannon needs to be socialized with other dogs since she has been cooped up in recovery for quite a while. Even though Shannon likes her crate and she often goes there on her own to rest the sweetness in this beauty’s personality make her a lap dog - or at least a faithful couch companion. With that in mind we know that Shannon’s foster mom has allowed Shannon on all the furniture and the bed. That is a behavior that can be modified if required but the easy route is just to go with the love. |
