This cute couple came in together and should be adopted together, if Sadie has any say in the matter. She is a bit over 7 years old and is very sweet. Bailey is 9 years old , and a handsome boy he is. Their owners had to relocate to a place that does not allow large dogs so they called us. Sadie is very bonded to Bailey. Bailey is more bonded to a tennis ball! His foster mom has never seen a dog that loves to play fetch more than he does. The first clue was when she got up at 3am to check on another dog and Bailey dropped a tennis ball at her feet as if to say “It’s time to play fetch!” At first he thought that any time she moved it meant that it was time to play ball, but since then Bailey and his foster have learned a thing or two about each other’s schedules.

The foster mom has also been working on this pair’s manners too. They are learning to sit for treats and to take them nicely. Leash manners are getting brushed up on as well.  They are learning the routine of a new house and what is okay and what is not.

They get along with other dogs, both large and small. They seem to be indifferent about cats (unless that cat has a tennis ball!). Bailey likes to stretch out on a dog bed in between rounds of fetch and Sadie will curl up in a chair to take a nap.  The only time there is a bark is if the tennis ball is not being thrown fast enough and then it is only outside. They are both very healthy and need no special medications.
