Patience
On Her Journey to Recovery

Patience is an absolutely precious girl who is about 5 years old. Patience was the perfect name for this golden girl since she waited so patiently for a chance at a new life with someone to love and care for her.
Patience was a stray picked up by animal control. Obviously she had no one to care for her since her skin and coat were a mess and she was thin and dirty. If no one came forward to claim her, her outcome would have been perilous: probable euthanasia.
The staff at animal control put the word out to rescue groups across the state, trying to find someone who would take in this wonderful girl and give her a chance at a better life. The e-mails asking for help went far and wide, but few rescues were up to the challenge. It was Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida that stepped up to rescue her and now she is on her journey to recovery.
Patience has received her initial veterinary care and has been placed in a foster home where she will begin care to rehabilitate her skin. Long term veterinary and holistic care will be required help her regain her health.
Patience will no longer have to wonder "Who will love me?" She will be showered with love by an entire organization of GRRMF Volunteers and hopefully soon, a forever home where she will become a cherished family member. Lots of love, a soft bed, tasty food, lots of petting and walks, and a squeaky toy. What could be nicer?
Patience deserves a better life.
Please help by donating to assist us with her medical needs. She would be very grateful.
Yes, the pictures below are the same Patience! Her road to recovery has been good and she is now ready for adoption.
Here is what her foster mom had to say:
Patience has a wonderful sweet personality. She's very velcro and wags her tail non-stop! Her hair is slowly growing back and she now weighs 62 pounds. She is house trained and enjoys playing with the other dogs in the house. At night, she sleeps on a comforter by the bed all night without a peep. She's a good watch dog and sounds off when it's time for a walk and to eat. She enjoys exploring the yard and looking at the birds.
All in all, her foster family describes her as a sweetie-pie! If you'd like to adopt this wonderful girl, please submit your application today!
Patience appreciates your continued love and support during her recovery. It is your donations that allow GRRMF to give special dogs like Patience the opportunity to have a better life.
