We are thinking the song may have been written about this particular Clementine because she really is a darling. Typically she can’t get or give enough love and affection to the humans she adores and she loves us all.
As you can see Clementine had a recent surgery on one of her knees and is recovering beautifully; we are happy to report there are no other current health issues that can’t be kept at bay with easy maintenance. She needs a good quality diet for delicate skin and to have her ears washed once a week or so. Outside of that Clementine will be good to go and good for loving.
Clementine likes to perform a little maintenance of her own on tennis balls. She will completely remove all of the fuzz and then chew them to pieces. She will do the same with soft toys so with that in mind we recommend that she only have toys like these during supervised times. Otherwise, hard rubber toys like a Kong, Nylabone or sterilized beef bones, are what this dog calls for.
Clementine also likes to chew some paper items and may even like to counter surf from time to time but these behaviors are very often remedied with good training techniques. We don’t believe they will be a big issue for any adopted parents with the heart to help train her just like we would for one of our human children. Clementine is completely housebroken.

Some of the wonderful characteristics we absolutely love about Clementine is that she seldom barks, she gets along well with everyone including other dogs, she does not get on beds or furniture unless invited, she does not exhibit any food or resource aggression, and she takes her treats so very sweetly. As a companion dog she loves to ride in the car and to go for walks so she will also be a magnet for conversation and admiration.
At only four years old here is a golden-retriever-girlfriend-dog that will bring completeness and definition to your home for a long time to come. She is a darling, a Darling Clementine.
