Amber may be 10, but she acts half her age! She loves going for walks and is quite playful. She is an extremely sweet and obedient gal who wants nothing more than to be loved. She obviously didn’t have much attention or exercise, as she has some skin and ear infections and she is sporting an extra 10 pounds or so.

She was an inside dog, so she has wonderful house manners. Amber gets along great with other dogs, no issues at all. Her intake form stated that she didn’t like cats, but we’ve not had a chance to test that, so we really don’t know how she’d behave around a cat. She also walks well on a leash, and walks are one of our favorite activities. Of course, her very FAVORITE activity is being loved on by her humans. She is a love sponge, and she’ll follow you around, wanting to just be near you.

As sad as her story is, at GRRMF we focus on the future. And the best day of Amber’s life was when she came to rescue, because we’re going to ensure she finds a true forever home where she will be loved and cherished as a member of the family – for the rest of her life.

Amber would make a fantastic companion for someone who doesn’t have time or energy for a puppy or young golden. She is quite content to relax by your side, as long as you keep those pats and belly rubs coming! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving canine companion who doesn’t require tons of exercise and activity, Amber is your gal!
